Guru Academic Advising is on a mission to educate the North Dallas/Fort Worth community about the college admissions process and the options available to students after high school. We are available to speak at your upcoming club meeting or event. Past successful events have included speaking engagements with libraries, PTSAs, NCL chapters, YMSL chapters, youth groups, high schools, college fairs, and more. Audience: This seminar is best-suited for high school aged students and parents.
Description: This talk covers the major topics related to preparing for successful college admissions, including a timeline of when to do what. We also address how to maximize your admissions edge through lesser known tips and tricks related to college planning. |
Audience: Middle school aged students with or without parents.
Description: This workshop style seminar gives middle school aged student the opportunity to learn about and apply two fundamental skills for success: goal-setting and time management. Students will apply their learning in practical applications and see how these skills will help them set the foundation for success in their college planning. |
Audience: Best suited for sophomore, junior, and senior aged high school students and their parents.
Description: Merit based scholarships are not reserved solely for "A" students, but they take hard work, discipline, and some basic knowledge. Learn how to find good opportunities and submit applications with essays that set you out from the pack. |
